This episode, we had a great conversation with Riley Armstrong, the Head Coach and Assistant General Managers of the Maine Mariners. We talked about his experiences going from player to coach, how the past year without hockey has been for him, what to expect from the team this coming season, some of his favorite hockey stories, and more!

Riley Armstrong (@rilesarmy) is the first head coach in Mariner’s franchise history, leading them in their first two ECHL seasons and in the summer of 2019, he was promoted to Assistant General Manager. He came to the Mariners from the Wheeling Nailers, the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he was an assistant coach from 2016-18. In his 12-year professional playing career, Armstrong spent his first five seasons in the San Jose Sharks organization, making his NHL debut in 2008-09. Armstrong made stops in some of Europe’s top professional leagues, playing in Russia, Finland, Germany and Sweden as well as additional stints in the AHL and ECHL playing a total of 610 professional games. He resides in Scarborough with his wife Amber, daughter Peyton and son Ezra.

We had the chance to talk with Adina Bercowicz of LymeTV to learn more about her journey through treatment, how she started her non-profit to raise awareness of Lyme Disease and other tick-borne diseases, what we can all do to prevent tick bites, and more!

She is passionate about giving back to her community and serves on the board of Woodfords Family Services and the Marcia Brady Tucker Foundation, and is a proud member of the Portland Business Builders BNI group. She is a volunteer Striders running coach in Falmouth and volunteers teaching financial literacy with Junior Achievement. Her best accomplishment in life is being a mom to Tucker and Missy.
