Tuesday Aug 18, 2020
In this episode, we'll be talking with Preston and Andrew from NXGen Fitness Center in Scarborough, Maine. We'll be discussing how NXGen got its start, what they offer, how they stay motivated, and some tips for those who are just starting on their fitness journey!
ABOUT OUR GUESTS:
Preston Peabbles is the Vice-President and Co-Owner of NXGen. Preston and his Father, Elliott, have had a passion for fitness and the gym for many years. Being in the construction business, they knew they wanted to build a gym at one of their projects. When Lifestyle Fitness in Scarborough came on the market, they jumped on the opportunity to purchase it and start their gym ownership venture in August of 2017. It has been a long road since day one, changing the name and a complete rebranding of the business, multiple improvement projects and the impact of the pandemic but Preston remains committed and looks forward to the future of the fitness industry.
Andrew Sneider is the General Manager at NXGen. Andrew has managed businesses for over 10 years, being an Assistant Manager at Play it Again Sports in Portland and the General Manager of The Fitness Factory in Portland. Andrew left The Fitness Factory in 2016 to be the Manager of Preston & Elliott's storage facility in Saco. When Preston & Elliott bought the gym in August of 2017, naturally, Andrew got back into the gym world by becoming the General Manager of NXGen Fitness. With 2 young kids at home and the ever evolving fitness industry these days, Andrew surely keeps himself busy.
